THE LATEST EP
MASSIVE
The 'Massive EP' by Danimal Cannon is a collection of songs written for the game Soundfall, available now on Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
Danimal Cannon used this opportunity to debut the new sound that he's been mastering for the past 5 years, diverting from the chiptune and gameboy sound that he's been known for in the past decade. His current releases shrugs off the minimalistic chains of limited polyphony and 4-bit square waves and embraces completely unrestricted maximalism.
The project file for each song averages over 100 tracks to create an exceptionally lush and layered sound. Often you're hearing half a dozen synthesizers layered together, multiple sweeping filters, entire orchestras, and ambient noise atmospheres to add an unparalleled depth and dimension.
THE LANDMARK ALBUM
Lunaria
Danimal Cannon is back! Three years passed since the release of Parallel Processing, a collaboration album with Zef, and now we are ready to unveil his new album titled Lunaria.
With this project, Danimal finally reveals his approach on chiptune and guitar combined in full force, something that many could have seen in his live performances, but very rarely on the record. This take on his sound with a strong treatment of progressive music elements definitely puts Lunaria one step ahead.
The album also features two vocal collaborations with Emily Yancey and a piano performance by our very own Samuel Ascher-Weiss, also known as Shnabubula. Artwork by Minerva Mopsy.
